Not logging in automatically any longer

Postby tjwalker on Thu Mar 04, 2010 9:13 pm

Greetings,
Have been using LiveClientFF for about a year now. I notice about a month ago that it will no longer automatically login to my install of Crafty Syntax. It used to work fine - it would take 5-10 after I launched FF to login - but it always did.

Now, it just says Live ClientFF Loading.... and sits there all day long but never logs in. If I click on the icon - it takes me to the login.php page that is waiting for the user/pass to be entered?

I double checked the setting in the LiveClientFF options - and nothing has changed - it is all correct. I don't remember when I last updated Crafty, so I don't know if this coincides. I am so used to LiveClientFF just working right, there is no telling how long I have been "offline" because it never logged on....

Any help would be appreciated. I can provide any data you need to help. With a donation to follow

I'm using Crafty Syntax Live Help 2.16.8, FF version 3.5.8 and just updated LiveClientFF to the Nov 09 release.

About the only change I recently made to craft syntax was to add a new department (another of my websites) and add that new department to my crafty user. That change may coincide (more or less) of when LiveClientFF stopped working right - but don't see how it could?
____________

Update. Installed the LiveClient non .net version under XP Pro - it installed but would just go non-responsive as soon as it launched. Uninstalled and installed the .Net version - it works fine - even logs in automatically. So I can use that for now instead of LiveClientFF

The non .NET version of LC2 is pretty much obsolete and has known issues.

I will have to update my CSLH sometime to see if I have any issues with that and LCFF, but if LC2.NET works I don't think it is a CSLH issue as I think they login pretty much the same way.

One thing that may work if you want to use the LCFF add-on is to manually login. I don't know if that will cause your status to work properly or not. If it doesn't then something with the updating must not be working right.

Thanks for the response,
Yea, I've just been logging in manually (when I remember) using liveclientFF.
I was using the windows .net version - but it kept crashing on me during chats.
